Continuing Education CAR Information


Education Supplies and Services

The El Dorado County Association of Realtors offers courses to Realtors/Brokers for continuing education and to non-members preparing to obtain a real estate license.

We have courses that are required by the Department of Real Estate for Sales Persons preparing for a Broker’s License. Two of these courses are also required for agents with a conditional license and have to be completed within the first eighteen (18) months after receiving their license.

These Courses are:

Real Estate Practice (Mandatory)
Real Estate Economics
Legal Aspects of Real Estate
Real Estate Finance
Real Estate Appraisal
Real Estate Principles – (A Transcript from this course is required to apply for the State Exam)
Property Management
Escrows
Real Estate Office Administration
Mortgage Loan Brokering and Lending

The enrollment for the above courses is one year. You can not take the final exam before 18 days from enrollment and you have up to one year. If you do not take the final during the year of enrollment you can extend your enrollment for another year for an additional fee.

We have for sale Salesperson/Broker Continuing Education Courses.

12 Hour Package – for Salespersons completing their first four years. The 12 Hour Package is 3 hours each of Agency – Ethics – Trust Fund Management and Fair Housing.


45 Hour Continuing Education for Salespersons and/or Brokers renewing their license every four years.

The finals for all of our courses can be taken either here at the association office by appointment or on line.
